Largest private breeding site for Persian fallow deer

The largest private breeding site for Persian fallow deer opens in Lorestan Province, Iran. 

The center in the provincial capital of Khorramabad was inaugurated on Thursday during a ceremony attended by Ali Salarvand, head of the country's environment organization.

This is a significant step forward for the preservation of this endangered species and contributes to the conservation of biodiversity in Iran.

After reproduction and breeding, yellow deer can be released in different areas of the province.

Iranian fallow Deer are on the brink of extinction. These native animals are protected in several preserved areas throughout Iran.

The Persian fallow deer is a rare ruminant mammal belonging to the family Cervidae.
